Proposed Constitution for The Spokes Club
of Lee College - (1962)
Article I
Name : the appellation of this effluent, spatiotemporal junto shall be "The Spokes Club of Lee College."
Article II
Objectives :
Section I : The main objective of this club shall be to bless equitable humanity.
Section II : Secondary aims shall be as follows :
1. To combat anti-American, anti-democratic, anti-republican, anti-liberty, neogistic, dictatorship coteries on this campus.
2. To strive together to improve each other in just about every way.
3. To combat pleonasm.
4. To take a firm stand.
5. Others that may be thought of from time to time.
Article III
Organization :
Section I : The spokes club, while not of disjecta membra, shall be loosely organized. Members shall assume a sobriquet upon affiliation.
Section II : Charter members are the following : (all are sagacious and perspicacious) Brian Johnson (Chief Hub), Duran Palmertree (The Big Rim); Billy George (The Little Cog); Grady Townsend (the brightest spoke), Donnie Harris, and Duane Lambert.
Article IV
The one and only office, other than that of treasurer, shall be the Chief Hub. The office is eternal in nature until the end of the year. The Chief Hub is the big boss and whatever he says goes. To prevent this from becoming a dictatorship (God forbid!), the Chief Hub may be impeached upon a majority unanimous rule by the junto. The Chief hub may resign if he feels the burden of his responsibilities too great and ponderous to bear. In this case, the club shall name a successor in the most convenient way available at the time. The Chief Hub has vicegerents if he deems it advisable. However, he must never, never have halitosis. (It is against the rules to call the Chief Hub "A.J."
Article V
Finance : Dues shall be decided upon by the Chief Hub and must be paid sporadically. The Big Rim is automatically the treasurer, as he is the only one capable of not spending the money.
Article VI
Meetings : Called meetings only - at time and place set by A.J.
