Another Lee University record bites the
Black and Grey dust

August 27, 1998 - CLEVELAND - Upsilon Xi, Lee University’s oldest and most successful fraternity, again placed its name in the Lee University record books this evening. An unprecedented eleven members of Upsilon Xi were selected as "big brothers" by Lee University sororities. Included in the eleven were Tony Robinson (already a big brother for Sigma Nu Sigma) who was "re-tapped" as beau for the second straight semester and Chat Jacobs (already a big brother for Epsilon Lambda Phi) was "re-tapped" as beau for the third straight semester. This record shatters the previous record of seven.

Traditionally, Upsilon walks in order of seniority on tap night with the executive committee leading the line. So many Upsilon members were tapped this evening that treasurer Glen Propst and historian Jeremy Dill were the only executive committee members left and walked first and second to complete the tap. This remarkable achievement extends Upsilon’s tradition of excellence at Lee University which continues to grow with each passing semester.

The complete list of Upsilon members tapped as "big brothers"

Epsilon Lambda Phi : Chad Siders, Chat Jacobs (Beau)
Omega Delta Phi : Erik McCleery, Gene Batten

Delta Zeta Tau : Jason Harris, Lee Seals, Scot Hunter

Sigma Nu Sigma : Robbie Winters, Clark Medlin,
Brent Moore, Tony Robinson (Beau)
