- Vote and Tap Night were on January 13, 1981
- Retreat was held on January 30-31, 1981
- Upsilon had regular prayer meetings every month
- Formal Induction was held on February 10, 1981 at the Broad Street
Methodist Church
- A Committee to Revise the Constitution and Bylaws was created and was
chaired by Jack Moring. The Committee completed its work on February 10, 1981.
The Constitution and Bi-Laws were voted on and adopted on April 28, 1981.
- Committee Chairmen were: Social – Doug Morris, Ways & Means – Tim Beckner,
Scholarship – Darrell Spell, Program – Bill Green, Induction – Keith Jeffords,
Public Relations – Lael Camak, Athletic – Steve Sharp, Judicial – Kevin Bowdle
- A party was held to honor the Sweetheart before she represented Upsilon in
Parade of Favorites.
- Spring Banquet was held on March 28, 1981 at Jonathan’s in Atlanta. Ray
Newton was the banquet speaker.
- A Constitutional Amendment was drafted allowing for members of the Church
of God School of Theology be included in Upsilon membership.
- Upsilon raised money by selling Chronological Bibles that were being
promoted by Jerome Boone.
- “Saturday in the Park” was proposed as a spring project. Upsilon sold pop
and popcorn at the event. The event was held on the lawn across from Cross
Hall
- Upsilon raised money by selling “cokes and stuff” by the Gym at Softball
games
- Twyla Daugherty was recognized for her performance at POF and Tonya Jeter
was recognized for winning First-Runner-Up. Twyla’s props were donated to
“Little People’s Church”
- Reflections were authored by Paul Henson. Paul was give a Boone Bible as
an honorarium for writing Reflections.
- A booth was put together for Lee Day
- Upsilon raised money through a Car Wash
