A complete report on Upsilon's 40th Anniversary has been posted. More photos will be posted shortly. . . The UXW congratulates Rev. Chuck Ramsey who was awarded the Upsilon Xi Distiguished Alumnus of the Year Award for 2002. The UXW also congratulates Upsilon alumni Dr. W. Donald Price for being named the Lee University Alumnus of the Year. Dr. Price is the second straight Upsilon man to win Lee's highest alumni award. A Upsilon man has now won 3 of the last 4 years and 6 of the last 12 years. . .The UXW also congratulates the new officers of the Upsilon Xi Alumni Association who were elected at the Alumni Breakfast: President Joe Giove, Vice-President Bill Winters, Secretary Bill George, and Nick Humble was re-elected as Treasurer.

You may also at that time RSVP for the Alumni breakfast at Homecoming.
The Alumni Breakfast will be held at 8:30AM on Saturday, November the 2nd at the Holiday Inn in Cleveland. The cost for the breakfast will be $10.00 per person.

Congratulations to Chad Guyton and J.B. VanHook, members of the singing group: "Four Voices." Their quartet was awarded first place at the SPEBSQSA International Convention, which makes them the best "Barber Shop Quartet" on the planet. . .Dr. Bob Johnson (tapped in 1976 or 1977), Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, will be speaking at Lee's graduation on August 3rd. . . The UXW has updated info on Phil Hamrick, Jeremy Dill, and Tony Copley.

The UXW welcomes former Upsilon President, Ken Stone to the e-mail directory. Congratulations to the men and women of Upsilon who recently graduated with honors. (special thanks to Kent Windham for the info). During the decade of the 1990s, 19 members of Upsilon graduated with honors. In the first 3 years of this decade, we have already had 17 honors graduates.
Strange thing about that hickory. . . it just gets better with time.

Because Upsilon will be losing 14 members this semester, the spring 2002 tap was one of the largest in the club's history, 18 new men and five Little Sisters.
The Little Sisters are Samantha Natola, North Olmsted, Ohio; Elicia Brown, Cincinnati, Ohio; Nikki Stokley, Mobile, Alabama; Melissa Martin, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Suzette Aviles, Suisun, California.
The Sweetheart is Katie Plunkett.
The men are Lee Bergakker, Grand Rapids, Michigan; C.J. Blount, Fitzgerald, Georgia; John Brose, Cincinnati, Ohio; Kris Butz, Hamilton, Ohio; Nicholas Fanelli, Atlanta, Georgia; Josh Foote, Lebanon, Ohio; Justin Graham, Morristown, Tennessee; Steve Henson, Lafayette, Indiana; Bobby Johnson, Bountiful, Utah; Cameron Jones, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Brett Mauldin, Greensboro, Georgia; Anthony McLeod, Cincinnati, Ohio; Ronnie Natola, North Olmsted, Ohio; Jerod Peterson, Granite Bay, California; Joe Quesenberry, Plant City, Florida; Craig Sluder, Cleveland, Tennessee; Nik White, Daphne, Alabama; and Nicholas Williams, Cartersville, Georgia.
Three new members have previous Upsilon ties. Bobby Johnson is the son of Bob and Carol Shoemaker Johnson and nephew of Ben Johnson and Steve Dorman. Brett Mauldin is the cousin of Jeremy Mauldin, and Joe Quesenberry's brother and sister-in-law are Torrey Herrin and Polly Stegall Herrin.
